This well-written blog tackles the hard subject of hard conversations straight on. It acknowledges that today's students need spaces to talk about race, identity, sexuality, power and difference in ways that are more relevant and more open than ever before. The author opens us up to the possibility, through a combination of words and pictures, that children are better off when schools give students the time, space and permission to talk.

I found this a refreshingly topical blog that has tackled the very real issues of our time. My attention was immediately grasped by the introductory paragraph which playfully challenged stereotypes (implying that the only hard stuff we talk about tends to be academic) and then continues to weave this theme through the blog post, culminating with a clear call to action. It is well-written, being hard-hitting yet sensitive at the same time, using eye-catching graphics and useful links, reflecting the school's approach to study in a way that draws the reader in to want to know more.

Covering two important topical issues at once (mental health and environment), I was impressed with the practical solutions provided to the reader, which led me to want to know more about the school. I enjoyed the multi-media content and the way that the staff and students were quoted in the text, adding credibility, community and interest to the blog.

Capturing readers from the outset by outlining one of the universal dilemmas of the modern age, this blog effortlessly provides insight into the work that one school is doing to create balance in the lives and educational experience of children. The text is well crafted and supported by good examples of how the Nature Enhanced Approach to Learning actually looks like in practice. An excellent window onto the learning that is taking place in the school.

What is interesting about this piece is the way in which it opens up a world of learning that most of us never even dreamed about when we were at school. The very idea that that we could create cross curricular programs with merge cubes and augmented reality is one thing. Glimpsing into the reality of what this is in practice is quite another. The test is raw and almost unfinished. But this almost adds to the realism and makes the reader want to find out more about how learning is happening across this school.

Really liked how this post was quote heavy. I felt like I was being communicated with directly from a trusted voice.
